Rath Yatra is celebrated all over India. On this auspicious day, Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra comes out of temple by thousand of devotees and priest and make them sit on their own chariot named Nandighosha( Lord Jagannath’s chariots), Taladhwaja(Lord Balabhadra), Darpadalna(Goddess Subhadra), all three are gods are beautifully dressed and decorated with flowers gold and silver. They started their journey, all three chariots were pulled one by one for another temple where they will stay for 8days after that they return to their own temple, the returning is popularly known as “Ulto Rath”. The first chariot was pulled is of Lord Balabhadra, then Goddess Subhadra and finally Lord Jagannath chariots was pulled where people chants”Jai Jagannath” in presence of dhakis and other musical instruments.
“Puri” in Odisha is famous for “Rath Yatra”.
“Holi” is a festival of colours and celebrated across India. Holi is the beginning of spring season.Holi is the celebrated with lots of joy and happiness and also a reason to spend qulaity with relatives and friends. Holi is incomplete without “Thandai”. Maha Shivratri is celebrated all over India. On this
auspicious day, Lord Shiva and Parvati is worshipped. Lord Shiva is worshipped
by all group of people specially. Maha Shivratri is said to be The Great Night
Of shiva”, when Lord Shiva perform heavenly dance. On this day, devotees offer prayers on night,
some of the devotees perform all day long fasting. Offering sweets,
cannabis(bhang),datura, bel patra, sweets etc. Devotees recite “Om Namah
Shivaya”.

Can you guess the singer???? Yes, it’s none other than Bappi Lahiri. Bappi Lahiri is one of the most popular and renowned singer, composer, record producer of India. He has composed over 5,000 songs in over 500 movies in many languages.
Bappi Lahiri’s real name was “Alokesh Apresh Lahiri”, he was born in Kolkata, West Bengal in 1952. His father, “Aparesh Lahiri” and mother “Bansari Lahiri” were also a famous Bengali singer and musician. Since, child he took interested in music and singing, as he longs to a family which was filled with rich tradition in classical music. He started his carrier at the very young age,19. He got a break in Bengali movie,name”Daadu”(1972), and it was great turn over in his carrier and soon he got a break for Hindi film as a composer in “Nanha Shikari”(1973). He sang and composed music for various languages like Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Kannad, Gujarati. His was known as “Disco King” in India. Bappi Lahiri’s style was very versatile as he took his style in another level by wearing heavy gold chains, gold rings, velvet cardigans and sun glasses. He married love of his life Chitrani Lahiri, by profession she is a film producer. As music was Bappi Lahiri’s family background his son named “Bappa Lahiri” “Music Director” and daughter “Rema Lahiri” is a renowned “Singer”.
Bappi Lahiri’s contribution in Hindi film industry will never forgettable. Starting from 90’s to 20’s his songs were super hits. He died on 16 February,2022 at the age of 69 due to OSA(Obstructive Sleep Apnea).
